Description
Getting tired of having to respool filament that comes on cardboard spools, especially when the size varies?
I have created a Reusable Spool with a smaller inner diameter that allows different sized rings to be used to adjust the inner diameter.
Inner diameter of the actual spool is 58.4mm.
The ring I have designed slides into sockets within one side of the spool - and has an outer diameter of approximately 72.5mm, which fits the brand of Filament I specifically had issues with - Note: They now have plastic spools available, my spools were purchased early 2024, of which I have a few left on cardboard. Going through my inventory, I also have other brands of cardboard spools, so I may design other ring sizes as required.
Let me know the Outer Diameter (in millimetres) if you wish me to add other sized rings.
The locking mechanism is based on the Bambu Labs reusable spool.

- As requested I have added a 78.5mm ring.
- As requested I have added a 68mm ring (NOTE: This is about the smallest diameter the rings can be, without redesigning the spool completely.
