Description

I'm pleased to release my beautiful design inspired by the dragon - Drogon from Game Of Thrones - now with strengthened classic style links.

The original design used my self designed flexi-fit 2.0 join system and was only available on my Patreon for subscribers, and I'm happy to release this new version with classic links exclusively here on Makerworld!

He features fully articulating wings and body with a movable jaw and claws but most importantly he's so adorable.

The majority of the design is fully print in place with just the head being printed separately, once printed simply click the head into the jaw and that's it - no glue or other materials needed, he's 100% 3D printed!

He has no need for support or a brim and can be printed easily with default settings. I do recommend turning on z-hop and using gyroid to print without any issues especially if you have build plate adhesion problems. The head can also use supports & a brim if you need and at a slower speed to make printing much easier but this we only effect print speed a minimal amount.

Have fun and don't forget to share your creations & follow for much more.

I have tried to print this 4 different times on my X1, with freshly clean plates each time. the parts do not have enough contact area on the plate to make it all the way through without a failure.

I’m giving it another shot now. Double checked I was running the X1 print profile just in case. I really dig this model, so I’m curious what fixes you applied? Since your previous comment, I can’t successfully send the print from Bambu Studio to the printer…

Is there an A1 setting yet? Because when I printed it on my A1, it printed off the plate and got all stringy.

pretty sad about this. looks like the print turned out okay other than the fact that it printed all in one color. even though I had 4 colors selected. Also shows 4 colors used but definitely was not. It was printed on an Anycubic Kobra 3 so I am assuming that is the issue here. Is there a way to make this work correctly on my printer?

Hi, sorry but I'm not to familiar with Anycubic printers, maybe it will need painting in their own software?

i have an Anycubic kobra 3 myself. one thing I learned is you have to not only tell the program the colors you also have to tell the printer itself the colors so it syncs up. it took me a while to understand it.

I added the head to the body so it can print in one go. Great model.

difficult print throughout. had to do quick thinking at all stages to avoid fail. from glue to make shift support and restraints. still rough at the end, used a lighter and paint pen to hide majority of any flaws

Hi, looks good but did you use the official profile updated? 78% would likely be rather difficult

Support Issue:I have tried to print twice, once on my P1S photo included, and another on my X1C. total disaster.
Bed Adhesion Issue:content matter which printer or which plate I use, makes the most bizzare mess in the printer.
