Description

I have limited space in terms of height. So I was looking for a spool holder that would solve the problem. I liked the idea of @TheBrain's remix.

I modified the following:

  • the print head bumped against the holder on my A1. That's why I made the holder a little thinner.

  • Instead of a roller for the print spool, I added a thread. The roller of the original holder can be screwed on there. This saves filament and the surface is smoother.

  • I have angled the cone for the filament guide. This ensures that the tube is centred on the filament spool.

See the photos in @3DEngineer's version to learn how to unscrew the filament guide from the original spool holder.
This version does not require any additional screws, only the filament guide and the roller itself.

Please, check your supplied spoolholder before printing!

Newer versions are just one piece and cannot be used for this model. In this case check out my new version!
