Description

I made this tool to make everyone's lives easier and less stressful when transferring filament from a cardboard spool to a ‘master spool’. In most cases you shouldn't need to do this and use one of the many adapters out there. Sometimes its unavoidable and you have to transfer the filament. I know I have been victim to receiving a spool of filament that was used is a game of kickball.

Directions: Place the spool down on one of the faces on a table. Peel up one side of that side just a tiny bit and I mean a tiny bit enough to slide one side of the tool in. Now repeat this step for the other side of that side. Lock them in place with your locks and then rip the cardboard off and peel any remaining paper. If you did it right, you spool wont unwind and fit on nice and clean. Now do it on the other side and you are done.

Most of the ‘master spools’ out there lock in place, don't forget to completely turn them to get them to lock.

Note: You may need some flush cutters if your spool has a really long pig tail in the center of the spool. It's safe to snip close to the spool.
