Skadis Screwdriver Holder | Medium

The key benefits of this design include:

• Durability: The design prevents bending over time, ensuring long-lasting reliability.
• Enhanced stability: It provides better stability for a wide range of screwdrivers, including those with non-flat handles.
• Dedicated features for non-flat handles: Special stability features are incorporated to securely hold screwdrivers with non-flat handles.
• Compact size: Compatible with the A1 Mini printer.
• Optimized spacing: The slots are designed to accommodate full-sized screwdriver handles with a maximum diameter of approximately 36mm (e.g. for Wera).
• Capacity: The holder can organize up to 3 rows and 3 columns of full-sized handle screwdrivers.

I created two variants with 10mm and 8mm holes. Be sure to select the variant with a hole diameter larger than the head of your largest screwdriver.

This holder is available in three sizes:

• Small (3 rows x 2 columns of full-sized handle screwdrivers) (not yet released)
• Medium (3 rows x 3 columns of full-sized handle screwdrivers)
• Large (3 rows x 5 columns of full-sized handle screwdrivers)

Mounting

IKEA Skadis boards have slight thickness variations, typically between 4.8 and 5.3 mm. For optimal security, I recommend pairing this holder with my Double Lock Plug in either 9.5 or 10 mm, especially for thinner boards, to prevent accidental slipping when grabbing a tool. Additionally, you can increase friction between the holder and board by using a Compensation Plate.
