Description

I needed a spool holder to print TPU via the 5th channel.
I wanted it to be as small as possible to store it easily when not in use.
Works with standard ball bearings from skateboards or inlines skates.

The two parts snap in together which makes the assembly of the bearings easier.
Maybe put in a drop of glue in to fix the parts together

Prints smoothly. Great design. I even had trouble to assemble, 'cause I was thinking too complicated. Well done, Sir. Printed with white Sunlu PETG. Equipped with 608zz bearings.

While the idea is great, in practice the design leaves a flexible gap on one side of the bearing. Depending on your spool it might get stuck in there. My bambu spools are fine but my esun and sunlu spools get stuck in there. Maybe a spool rim of sorts can help with this.

sehr cool hab mir noch Schienen unten dazu designt (damit falls ich Mal größere (2kg) Rollen verwende) und somit sind sie verschiebbar 👍☺️

quick question how did you mounted it (tape? srews?) ? i will leave later a rating (because the app having some issues) but it turned out very well ;)

Simply placed it besides the printer. The weight of the spool holds it in place. Maybe a drop of glue to hold the two parts together after assembling :)

ok tried it with a 99% empty spool to pull the rest down but got stuck and the spool hopped out (maybe because as you said of the weight) but thanks
