Mechanical Chomping Sharpedo

Sharpedo #319: “Its fangs rip through sheet iron. It swims at 75 mph and is known as the Bully of the Sea.” ~Pokemon Diamond Pokedex entry

Mechanical Sharpedo that bites when the yellow star on the back is pushed. The bottom jaw is opened using a gear system and closed by an internal spring. Spring and axle (nut/bolt) are external parts from Lowes/Amazon. Full parts list and assembly instructions attached. Choose between Standard, Large, or Extra Large!

Note: MakerWorld would not allow me to post the bill of materials in the Model info without including parts from MakerSupply so I put the info for the spring and nut/bolt combo in the Assembly Guides.

I scaled this print up to 125% and it still printed wonderfully. I highly recommend this file.

excellent fun model! bolt and nut can be omitted since the body keeps all the parts in place. Spring can substitute the one from makers beginners kit but be warned it will be under high tension. Teeth are sharp so be careful of using higher tension spring

The most enjoyable toy that I’ve printed so far. The parts are well designed and are easy to put together even with the spring and the screw that I ended up have to buy, it just came out well worth it. Gifted to a friend’s son and he played it the whole afternoon.
