Description

ENGLISH:

Lightweight, customizable, modular, symetrical, stackable -  These are the main properties for my take on snapfit tile grids, whick keep tiles at place.

Fits games like Carcassonne, Karak, Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig, Clank!: Catacombs, SubTerra and many others.

Standard 3x3 tile grid (45mm) takes about 20 minutes of printing and weights just 4-5 grams (+-0.1€), while still being sturdy enough.

Many layouts available - from 1x1 to 2x4 to 3x3 to 1x5 to 6x6. Easily snaps together in any rotation.

Currently available for 30x30, 45x45, 50x50, 60x60 mm and 3 inch square tiles.
If you need any other tile size - even rectangular, please write a comment or message me. I will be happy to add it here, at short notice.

Also a special layout to fit both Carcassonne etc. (45 mm) and
Clank!: Catacombs (90 mm): 4x4 45 mm and 2x2 90 mm tile, 2x2 45mm and 1x1 90 mm tile and starter tile 2x4 45 mm and 1x2 90 mm

Optimal tile grid layout count for base Carcassonne and Karak - 45mm tiles (around 100 tiles):

  • 4x4 - 9x (144 tiles)
  • or
  • 4x2 - 4x (32 tiles)
  • 4x1 - 4x (16 tiles)
  • 3x3 - 9x (81 tiles)
  • 3x1 - 4x (12tiles)
  • 2 tile stackers
  • or others up to your preference

Great idea, unfortunately, I don't know how to slice it in Orca/BS so the separators (little crosses) have support printed below it...

Oh, thank you for noticing. Gave me a hard time remembering and finding it but: Prusa Slicer: Print settings -> Infill -> Advanced -> Solid infill treshold area -> 50mm2 Bambu Studio: Strength -> Advanced -> Minimum sparse infill treshold -> 50mm2

Just so evrulybody knows - yes this setting works in Prusa Slicer, but not in current versions of BS or Orca. I've created a bug report for both.

yep I also noticed it, however it does at least this structure on the topmost layer with infill, which I think will suffice also cudos for making the report

Great model and works pretty good with resized dungeon tiles! Print time is also very fast!

Hi, it's done. You can find it as tile - 50mm - grid collection.zip Just download the 45x45 print profile and replace the model in slicer with a preferred model (for example 3x3 50mm) from the zip archive

what kind of holder do you have in mind? I added profile for tile stacker as shown in pictures (the stl file can be found in raw models) it is designed for exactly 12pcs, otherwise, you can also scale it in slicer by 150% to fit 18pcs, etc if you want something else, let me know

1. Click on small arrow next to "Open in Bambu studio" and select "Download STL/CAD files". 2. Download these STL files: tile - 45mm - grid - 4x4 (45mm) and 2x2 (90mm).STL tile - 45mm - grid - 2x2 (45mm) and 1x1 (90mm).STL tile - 45mm - grid - 2x4 (45mm) and 1x2 (90mm).STL 3. Click on arrow again and use Open in Bambu studio on the first print profile named "4x4 standard tile 4 5mm (0.3 mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill, no top and bottom layers". 4. In Bambu studio, right click on the 4x4 model and click on "Replace with STL". 5. Select one of the files downloaded in step 2 per your liking. 6. You can print it now, the print settings are loaded from the original print profile. For example: File: tile - 45mm - grid - 2x4 (45mm) and 1x2 (90mm).STL consists of a: 2x4 grid for 45mm tiles (Carcassonne and others) which translates to 1x2 grid for 90mm tiles (Clank!: Catacombs)
