Description

I love snow globes! I have quite a few to decorate my house around the holidays. I wanted to design something that would show off my love of 3D printing, so I designed this 3D printed Tree Snow globe.

In my testing I found that it does not leak as long as you use proper Snowglobe filling, but if you plan to use it in the short term you can go ahead and use water.

For the cover I used a mason jar, as this is something a lot of people will have around the house, and something that can easily be repurposed after. I made this one to fit a 3 Inch opening jar, so be careful if you chose a different size.

What is a traditional snow globe filling?

It will depend on where you are, but I can usualy find some premixed formula at hoby stores. if not, water mixed with glicerin and anti microbial agents does the trick!
