Update 1/11/25 - Removed weird artifacts from one of the book covers.
My final submission for Halloween 2024! The Mimic Grimoire stash box! The book opens to reveal a storage compartment, perfect for storing dice, miniatures, or other treasures. The tongue is removeable and can be replaced with an optional tooth!
I challenged myself to design something without using the AMS for once 😅
Assembly instructions as well as recommended tools can be found in the documentation section below.
This project requires Cyanoacrylate (CA) super glue for assembly as well as 2 8x3mm magnets!
Dimensions of the storage compartment: Length: 127.750mm Width: 83.138mm Height: 27.322mm
All plates in this profile have been pre-supported and tweaked for the best results. Do not scale down. Printing on an A1 Mini is possible if you split the book pages and book covers onto separate plates. The designer print profile is recommended, use stls at your own risk.
Very Important Note:
It is important to have your filament dialed in for good bed adhesion! Clean your plate (a quick wipe down with IPA) and raise the bed temp to 60 for great bed adhesion. Let the book pages and covers cool completely before removing from the plate or they will warp! If these parts warp the book will not close properly, leaving a gap between the pages.
