Boost me for more logic-defying print profiles like this!

This is the project you've all been waiting for. An optimized and refined print profile to make your pre-installed 0.4mm nozzle print small details almost as perfectly as a 0.2mm. This is not to say that the two are exactly the same, but in general practice, the differences are invisible.

I bet most of you have looked at the underside of the 0.4mm nozzle and wondered why the hole for the filament is so small, but it prints such large lines. This is intended for a variety of different mechanical, structural, and other reasons I won't explain here; you can look them up for yourself if you're curious. However, the nozzle lines can be much smaller due to this design. So why not make them smaller? I created a print profile that takes some slightly adjusted 0.2mm nozzle line widths and couples the with some modified settings (for quality), packed inside a single .3mf file.

The best part: You don't have to change nozzles any more, just the presets! No need to buy a new 0.2mm nozzle/hotend, now all you have to do is change the presets! This also eliminates physical interaction with the printer when attempting to make prints that “require” a 0.2mm nozzle to be installed.

In the File:

  • A test model to demonstrate the tiny lines that you can now print with this powerful preset
  • Modified print presets that you can save off for later use (or you can just make your 0.2-optimized model inside the provided project)
  • Modified filament settings so ripping and gaps do not occur at high speeds (PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU USE LOWER FLOW RATES)

Enjoy!
