I'm trying to understand how the other part is used.
Is it a stand? Or a Table mount? Or what? :)
I can see how the stands for the original model are working
(OK, there are even pictures showing them in action, but you can also see just from looking at the model),
but I can't figure this one out.

Yeah lol this was a modification I made that allows a bevel gear to run the claw allowing it to be hooked up to a drill. that piece is specifically a plate that holds the second gear in place

I printed this based on a YouTuber recommendation (from printables). unfortunately, I couldn't not get the part to function and had to toss it. if there is a special way to get it to work, instructions on the profile would be helpful.

sorry to hear that were you able to crack it, You may need to use a spatula or even a flathead screwdriver to do so
