Light Stand Diffuser Box

Introducing Light Stand Diffuser Box, a custom DIY solution to make any light stand look amazing and gorgeous. The diffuser panels are designed for anyone to create custom art.

You can remix any number of diffuser designs. Please feel free to tag them.

Variations:

Triangle:

• Top - Open.stl : Need x1
• Bottom - Hole.stl : Need x1
• Corner.stl : Need x3
• Diffuser Panels: Need x3

Square: (Best Design)

• Top - Open.stl : Need x1
• Bottom - Hole.stl : Need x1
• Corner.stl : Need x4
• Diffuser Panels: Need x4

Hexagon: Make sure if the hexagon fits on the build plate and adjust accordingly)

• Top - Open.stl : Need x1
• Bottom - Hole.stl : Need x1
• Corner.stl : Need x6
• Diffuser Panels: Need x6

Printing Instructions:

• Material: Preferably PETG or more heat resistant as sometimes these light bulbs can run hot. (I used Elegoo Rapid PLA+ and it works great. Need to test the longevity of this material)
• Layer Height: 0.2 mm
• Supports: No
• Rafts: No
• Brim: No

Diffuser Panel Instructions:

Using Filament Change:

• Very important to print at 0.2 mm layer height. This ensures 3 layers of white diffuser.
• Start with White filament, then at layer4 change the filament to Black.

Creating custom model/art diffuser panels:

• Print the blank diffuser panel using the above method or just print it in white.
• Resize the custom model/art into 104mm width x 94mm height.
• Print the custom model/art at least 2.20mm layer height so that it matches the frame.
• Use super glue to stick the custom model/art to the empty blank.
• Repeat.
• Grofit!

• All diffuser panels are designed to be of the same size to make them work with all three variations.
