Description

I made this enclosure so I can use toxic materials as ABS or PC or PA without having to leave my room for hours. For the filter I recommend using a HEPA H14 or above spec filter. I'll leave the link of the one i bought.

Everything is printed in PETG but it's not necessary, you can use normal PLA if you want.

NEEDED PARTS:

  • printed parts
  • 2x Ikea Lack
  • 60mm cable gland
  • 4x 60x50cm Plexiglass Panels
  • 57x M3,5x12 screws (buy more to be sure)
  • black silicone
  • HEPA H14 filter
  • 2x 120mm USB fans

ASSEMBLY:

  • Build both Ikea Lacks
  • Screw the leg supports to one Ikea Lack (picture 1)
  • Screw the first ikea lack on the second one (picture 1)
  • Drill a M8 hole on the top surface of the higher Lack (Picture 2)
  • Insert the filament guide (picture 2)
  • Drill a 60mm hole in a corner/side of the lower Lack (picture 3)
  • Insert the cable gland (Picture 3)
  • Drill 8 holes on 3 panels (4 on higher part and 4 on lower part)
  • Screw these panels on the sides and back of the enclosure (Picture 4)
  • Seal them with silicone (Picture 5)
  • Choose one of these panels and drill 2x 120mm holes and mount both fans side by side on the inside of the enclosure where they do not interfere with the printer (Picture 6)
  • Mount the airbox on the outside of the same panel (Picture 7)
  • Insert the filter
  • On the front side, mount the 7 rails (Picture 8)
  • Drill 2x M3 holes on the sides of the last panel (mid height as shown in pictures)
  • Screw the knobs (picture 9)
  • Slide the panel in the rails
  • ASSEMBLY COMPLETED
