Description

Can you imagine? We made 7 adjustments and optimizations for this model, spending nearly a week on the optimization! Now, it's finally without major issues! This 3D printed model design, we named it the Radish Cannon! It can not only launch projectiles, but it also doesn't require supports and is a one-piece print. If you have the AMS multi-color system, that's even better, as it can be printed in multiple colors in one go, making it look more attractive! Welcome to download and print~

It requires a 0% infill rate, with the wall thickness set to 0.8mm!

Is no one going to address that this is clearly a carrot, and not a radish?

originally printed in Bambu PLA matte. didn’t work. swapped to PLA basic. looks excellent. worked excellent. massive launch distance. surprised me. i think the leaves on the cannon need some more reinforcing. some cracking starting. when loading, it seems to take most of the force. may need to change how I hold it. but with kids playing it, would be great to just reinforce it a bit. do not use PLA Matte. mechanism doesn’t work at all. broke after about 3 tries.

Thats unfortunate, mine is still working fine after just over a week of use. I used PLA+ in the profile. 👍

Cool! Happy you got it to work this time. Appreciate the revised review & yes the launch distance surprised me as well! I have also now advised people in the profile not to use PLA Matte.

Yes, perhaps a wall thickness of 0.4mm would launch farther. If you have good slicing parameters, feel free to upload them

Hello!! It is a really cool print and well made, but for me it did not work. Im not sure if i need to calibrate or change settings, i utilized the print profile but when i took it apart to try to find out why it wasnt working- I saw that the plate where you push the ammo in was not attached to the loading mechanism. Any advice for how I could reprint and fix this? Thank you!! side note- I cut the launcher open to try and figure out why it wasnt working, i heard the mechanism loose inside beforehand and the spiral loader was still attached to the inside mechanism- i cut that to get out the plate and thats when i saw that the locking mechanism wasnt attached to the plate- that part failed during printing

I suggest increasing the top thickness to 5 layers! This can solve the problem! The top surface is too fragile, possibly only 2 layers, resulting in not very perfect print adhesion.

I have made a few more tweaks to the profile as per peoples concerns and added pictures to the new revised profile. Everything printed just fine with eSUN PLA+. Firing mechanism functions fine. Can be a bit temperamental when loading but other than that its a great model. Thankyou BPCSBPCS

Tested & printed the newly updated profile above on my P1S at standard speed. Came out nicely using eSUN PLA+ I did slow the printer down to “Silent” Mode for the leafy top part of the print, which produced nicer results. Fires really well and I was surprised by the distance. Loading can be a bit temperamental at times, but apart from that its a great model.
