MAG Plate SKÅDIS Hanger – for Screw Bit Scabbard

This is a super thin (2.6mm THK) magnetic hanger for your favorite screw bit organizer; the Screw Bit Scabbard! 

The Screw Bit Scabbard is already SKÅDIS Pegboard compatible, why would I design this hanger?? This is why:

You can easily take it off your pegboard:

…and slap it onto any ferrous surface closer to where you need them for that unanticipated must-do:

…then efficiently return it to its original position without putting hooks or screws back in it:

Now you're convinced, here's the process:

1. Print the Screw Bit Scabbard (why haven't you done that already?)
   1. It will help orient the magnets correctly (step 3).

1. Press “Prepare to Print”.
2. Let the printer do what it do and be a little patient.

3. About an hour later (X1C), add Qty (6) D8x2mm magnets like so: (do it like this to guarantee you set the polarity correctly)

   

4. Resume print for like 38 minutes (X1C).

5. Let it cool, remove from build plate, then proceed as shown: (Good guess, that's sprinkler glue all over my hands)

   1. You can also hold the MAG PLATE HANGER up to your SKÅDIS Pegboard and push the hooks through both at the same time.
   2. Once you're certain of where the hooks need to go, you can use a soldering iron to fuse the hooks to the MAG PLATE HANGER from the front side (the white/pinkish face of the plate in the video below).

   

6. Attach the MAG PLATE HANGER to your SKÅDIS Pegboard.
7. Attach your Screw Bit Scabbard.
8. Enjoy being organized, more efficient, and better looking!
