Description

Summary

I needed a holder for this special battery CR17335SE(3V) which is used in an EPSON Robot Controller. The original battery had soldered on cables. This replacement battery was way cheaper, but had no soldering tabs. So I needed a holder for this special sized battery.

I checked a couple of designs here online and finally decided to make my own version. This version on Thingiverse with printed springs is a really nice design, but the contacs still seem a weak point. Then I found these professional battery contacts on ebay, which are sold for cheap money. I bought 10 pairs for less than 4 EUR and received the package the next day. You can get them even cheaper if you buy directly from China. The plates are 12x12 mm and 0,3 mm thick.

I printed this holder in PETG, but PLA should probably also work. With 0,4 mm nozzle and 0,2 mm layer hight it took less then 50 minutes to print. No support needed. 20 percent infill is more than needed.

SolidWorks-Model is included, so you can modify this for your need. I also included the SolidWorks-Assembly. As “SLDASM” file type is not supported, I faked the FileType. You just have to rename it.
