The Best Quick Grip Edge/3 Way Clamp - Convert your clamps!

This model converts a quick grip clamp, or ANY ¾" bar clamp into an edge/3 way clamp. Great for edge banding and gluing, repairs, and gluing odd objects.

Yes, I've tested this clamp multiple times. It's strong enough to pull Quick Grip clamps, and with “Jorgensen” style f clamps I can tighten the handwheel as much as possible without a tool without warping or breaking the plastic parts. It's the real deal, and the clamp pad is replaceable. Comes in 1" and 2" throw versions, for most uses the 1" is plenty but you may want some more screw travel.

Instructions:

Assemble clamp as pictured. Thread thumbscrew into side recess. Thread large clamp screw through back of clamp. It may bind on seam zits inside, work back and forth and clean and it will clear and move smoothly. When all the way through to clamp face, pop swivel pad into end of clamp screw. Use paste wax on thread screws and pad recess for extra smooth operation and glue drip resistance!

To use:

Insert clamp slide recess on inside of quick grip or other clamp throat, slide to desired height and tighten thumbscrew. Make sure The Best Edge/3 Way Clamp pad is fully retracted and flush with the clamp face.

Choose the material to be banded/edged on your project, apply glue, and place. Offer clamp up and push the face up against the piece to be banded.

Now tighten Quick Grip or F clamp on workpiece to be banded.

Finally, tighten The Best Edge/3 Way clamp handwheel.

Use multiples to hold long edges, or get creative!
