Description
This is a print in place case for a deburring tool and its replacement heads. It use four 10x3mm magnets (https://a.co/d/0LjGt0u, or maker supply) to hold the lid closed. This case should hold any deburring tool with a similar form factor to the one in the photos.
UPDATES:
- Version 2
- Adjusted the blade holders to ensure they secure the blades firmly.
- There is now a test piece to check if your blades will fit before printing the full model.
- Added an extended version for longer deburring tools.
- Larger slots for easier opening.
Instructions
- Print the blade test fit piece to ensure your blades will be secured.
- Determine which size case you need. See photos below:

- Print the model. I printed this on silent mode.
- If the hinge is stuck after printing, it can be broken free with a little bit of force.
- If the tool case doesn't close all the way, a heavy weight can be used to hold it closed for a day, which will flatten it so it closes. Mine warped a bit after I removed it from the bed. I left a large book on it overnight to flatten it.
- Use a bit of CA glue to secure the four magnets in their dedicated holes. Be careful to have the correct polarities on each side of the case so that it will be held closed.
