Description

Hello!

I wanted to change the color of my AMS hub cover, and I figured others may want to do the same.

This is my by-hand re-imagining of the AMS hub cover so that you may use it for your mods or reprint it to change the color of your hub. If you remix for your mods please acknowledge my original! This one has been fit tested and seems to work fine when printed with my associated print profile. YMMV though! The AMS and filament path is a finicky beast so please be careful opening up your hub!

WARNING: If you open up your AMS hub, you need an auxiliary magnet, so you can place other magnets. Be sure to check the wiki on how to do this. If you open it up without a magnet things will go flying and you may lose the springs for the filament sensor.

I might produce a youtube video on my channel discussing the process of the basic CAD and build if there's interest, let me know in the comments here.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Good job. At first, I didn't see the point, but it gave me an idea for something new, and I could use that as a test model and make it Blue ABS like the rest of my stuff back there. Thanks a lot, and excellent job. You should have 100*, not just 5

Thanks for the comment! I agree that it does almost seem kinda pointless since we can make our own hubs, but it is useful to color code your arrangement or to help marker which hubs are going where. Also I was thinking it could help others with mods so I'm looking forward to the community doing what they do.

Happy Friday, Ten Minute Tech. I agree. I'm sure people will add the Bambu Lab Logo and much more. I'm cooking something, and I will add a link to your stuff. Wow, those magnets and spring are fighters, aren't they? Talk to you later and keep up the good work flowing ;-)

haha yeah the little magnets are "fun" to put back in place. I don't think it's possible without an extra magnet. hey btw, how was your fit? I tested 5 prototypes on my X1C and P1S making small 0.1mm changes at a time. I can only get so close with calipers by hand, and wanted to make sure it works on other printers and not just mine. I'd also be happy to post the f360 model with sketches on request!
