MTG Coat of Arms Tracker / Counter - 00-99 Dials

This is a Coat of Arms tracker / counter for Magic the Gathering. It is used to make tracking (affiliate link) Coat of Arms much easier. Since Coat of Arms also impacts your opponent's creatures, it may be worth printing a couple of the trackers so you can track multiple creatures at once. The counter itself is 4 separate parts: a top, a bottom and 2x dials in the middle. Additionally, there are many creature badges. For the counter:

• The counter has 2x dials that go from 0-9 each, for a total of 00-99
• 2x different body designs:
  • #1 = Coat of Arms text + ‘get +1/+1’ text
  • #2 = blank

Additional Hardware

The Coat of Arms tracker and each creature badge all require a single (affiliate link) round magnet (4mm x 2mm). These are the exact magnets I used, but I've also linked the same sized magnets from Bambu Lab's store below in the Bill of Materials section.

Assembly

For the dials, there is a left dial and a right dial. When positioned correctly, the numbers on each dial should line up (nearly) 100% straight inside the window. The parts are labeled in Bambu Studio as well.

For the bottom body piece, the magnet hole should be the top of the counter (north). For the top body piece, the badge hole should be the top of the counter (north).

The Coat of Arms Tracker Bar's body should snap together while allowing the dial to spin. It does take a bit of force to fully snap the pieces together. Apply pressure at each connector on the top and bottom body pieces when snapping together for each dial. You will hear a bunch of snapping sounds, don't be alarmed (each connector snapped like 5 or 6 times for me). Once fully snapped together, there shouldn't be any gaps between any of the pieces.

The dials may be a bit tight so the number stays in place in case of an accidental bump or drop. They will quickly loosen up a small amount after spinning each dial a few times. For even more security, try adding a small drop* of super glue to each connector when snapping all the parts together.

* If you use too much glue, the glue will seep out onto the dials and become glued in place and not be able to spin. Ask me how I know that… 😉

The tracker and each creature badge each need 1x round 4mm x 2mm magnet. For my prints, the tolerance was perfect for pushing the magnets in without glue. Again, for more security, feel free to use a small drop of super glue. Make sure the magnets' polarities are correct!

Printing Tips

You will need to make sure you have near perfect bed adhesion. A lot of the text is very small and obviously needs to stick to the plate. I used PLA and the textured build plate.

Make sure you thoroughly wash your build plate with Dawn dish soap to remove any hand/finger oils. If you are still having trouble with adhesion and are using the Smooth plate or Textured plate, try bumping the bed's temperature up 5 or 10 degrees.

It is not recommended to use ‘Sport’ or ‘Ludicrous’ mode when printing this. Please just use the ‘Standard’ option to ensure a successful print.

A 0.2mm nozzle would be ideal, but everything in the photos was printed using a 0.4mm nozzle.
