Replica of an 82 mm mortar round fin section - the largest part of the mortar round left over after the round is fired, flies through the air, impacts something and explodes. I replicated the geometry from pictures I took performing crater analysis work.
I had pictures, but obviously couldn't bring one home and still always wanted one as desktop art. If you've handled one of these in real life, you'll recognize the size of it immediately. This one obviously doesn't have the deformation from impact and explosion, but the model is true to the real object.
I have two print profiles added now. The supports are the same between them, but I added a brim to one version, in case you have difficulty keeping the fins attached to the bed. It's a very small contact area, each fin only being only about .080" wide and .400" long where it touches the build plate. I normally design models for additive manufacturing, but that obviously won't work for a replica!
