Description

Skee Ball: A Marble Arcade Series Game - A 1980s Flashback

Introducing the first game in our series of fun marble arcade games that are modular, easy to assemble, and incredibly entertaining. At Ozarkexpeditions, our mission is to create toys, games, and functional prints with high replay value that everyone in the family will want to gather around and play. Whether you're looking for solo play to take a break from work or a fun competition with friends and family, this game is perfect for you.

Inspired by retro-style arcade games, our first release is a personal favorite that transports you back to the 1980s arcade and bowling alley experience. Our modular design ensures easy assembly, and the game promises endless fun. We have several marble arcade games lined up for release over the next few weeks and months, each designed to keep the excitement alive.

Game Play:

  • Setup: Position the Skee Ball game on a flat surface and ensure the balls are ready in the starting area.
    • Required marble size: 8mm
  • Objective: The goal is to score as many points as possible by getting balls into the target rings with one of the ball launchers.
  • Gameplay:
    • Solo Play: Roll each ball up the ramp, aiming to land them in the highest scoring rings.
    • Competition: Take turns with other players, rolling the balls and trying to outscore your opponents.
  • Scoring: After all balls are rolled, add up the points based on the values of the target rings where the balls landed. Each ring has a different point value, clearly marked on the ball return area of the game.
  • Winning: The player or team with the highest total score wins the game! 🎉

Printing & Assembly:

Assembly is literally a snap, as this game is fully 3D printed. Follow these simple steps to get started:

  1. Prepare the Pieces: All pieces are oriented in the print profiles for the best printing experience.
  2. Attach the Main Game Plate:
    • Align the main game plate with the base's alignment snaps.
    • Press the plate down firmly until you hear a satisfying click, ensuring the pieces are snug.
  3. Install the Backboard:
    • Align the backboard with the base using the alignment pegs.
    • Carefully apply a little bit of force to fit the pieces together snugly.

Next, print the launcher of your choice. For now, we recommend printing the handheld launcher, and check back for other styles of launchers we will have available soon.

With these easy steps, your Skee Ball game will be ready for play in no time.

As with any new game design, I would love to hear your feedback on how we can update the actual printed design to continue making it fun and engaging. Post your build photos, give us a download, and if you want to see more cool projects, give a boost! 🚀

Hey everyone! We’re working on a spring loaded version of the launcher. We should have this finalized in the next few days but wanted to share the prototype. 😊

Printed without any issue, looks really great and works amazingly good. It's harder to play then I anticipated. Little fun project.

There isn't a file to print the base for the launcher that has the ball joint in it. Any idea where one could find it?

@AuntKimmy22 Oh, you are absolutely correct! My apologies! I can get this added when I’m back home in about 30 minutes. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
