Description

This in in addition to my dual drive remix. See my profile.

I found that the spindle skips out of the gears. I wanted to make something that would lock it in. This is lined up perfectly with the hexagon opening on the spindle gear. The 608 bearing is pressfit in place. The hex shaped pin sized to easily slip in pace without any friction.

I used the idea to run M6x50 bolts through in stead of pins for extra stabilization.

Now it can never skip out of place when respooling your filament!.

Here is a short video of it working:

Sweet enhancement! Could you make a secondary model that drops the bearing centerline 0.16 inches? For some reason the pastastruder model I printed just recently has a lower centerline and these dimensions end up pulling the drive hub above the gears.

Weird, it lined up perfectly on mine. I dropped it by 4mm and sent it to your inbox. Hopefully that does the trick for you

Hi @MFDesigns3D. I have the exact same problem. Could you perhaps send me the one that is dropped by 4mm too?

Confused by the bearing size, you state 606, which is 6 x 17 x 6, assume you mean 608?

Oh man, typo...Thanks for catching that. I'll change it right away. Thanks for pointing it out. Yes it's a 608

I was about to chuck my dual motor in the bin, your mod saved it, works like a charm. I tweaked it slightly changing to M5 bolts and modified the peg to extend it and add some knurling

Do have a link to the motors that you used?
