Description

Want a sand toy without the struggle of having to carry a cart full of toys? Carry them all with the sand toy multitool! With 7 different toys and a feature for customization, the multitool can be an easy item to carry around. Listed below are the 8 different features:

Sifter

The sifter is perfect for finding hidden treasures in the sand. I realize now that the holes might be too small, and if so, I can post a version with larger holes.

Smoothing Tool

The smoothing tool looks similar to a knife but can be used to smooth out the sand in a flat or curved fashion. Note: the tip might be sharp, so if given to a child, please sand down before use.

Shovel

Just a regular shovel, this tool can be used to scoop up the sand. Due to the size of the multitool, you may need to bring a larger shovel if you enjoy digging some bigger holes in a smaller amount of time.   :)

Rake

The rake is a tool used to make lines in the sand. This can be used for cool designs in the sand. Each end of the rake is smoothed out, so no need for sanding here!

Writing Tool

The multitool also includes a writing tool, perfect for writing in the sand without getting your fingers dirty, or getting sand under your fingernails!

Flat Shovel

The flat shovel is just a normal shovel, but flat! It is perfect for scooping out flat surfaces on your sand creations!

Name Customization

The multitool also provides a nice area for names to easily identify who the multitool belongs to.

Assembly

First, make sure to print the files: Tools 1, Tools 2, and you can print the Ring file to allow for a tighter fit. I ended up using three of the rings, so you will need to copy and paste the ring file to get the desired amount.

Next, the order of the tools is seen below (the flat shovel is on the bottom and the sifter is on top). You may choose to put them in a different order, but I found that the order below worked best.

I found that the rings are best to be placed as follows:

  • One ring below the flat shovel
  • One ring in between the writing tool and the rake
  • One ring in between the rake and the regular shovel

Additionally, you can add a clip or ring for an easy attachment to a bag.

After the tools are put in order, the top of the multitool can be placed onto the bottom. There is a cutout on the top that will fit into the pole on the bottom, and a mechanism on the other end resembling a puzzle piece that will snap onto the bottom. Use super glue in these locations to ensure that the top and bottom frames are connected. You may want to apply pressure to the pole-end of the multitool, as the fit will be tight.

Once finished drying, the multitool is ready for use! Enjoy playing in the sand and have a great summertime!   :)
