Description

I change the nozzle often so I liked the idea of easy access but without adding extra weight to the axle. The original cover weighs 6.8g, my honeycomb 6g and the full version 6.7g. I also made a version without the honeycomb pattern.

Based on feedback about hotend clogging concerns I did a combo pattern where the bottom is solid to create a wind tunnel to cool the passive part of the hotend and the top has a honeycomb pattern.

Based on solving the brittleness problem with some printed models and discussion with NetYaroze87, I made a honeycomb pattern version with detached parts.

Thanks for sharing this cool design. The honeycomb adds some flair. I didn't like seeing through the gaps to the bland color and writing on the hotend, so I added a thin layer on the inside. BTW, your honeycomb hotend cover goes great with Oxaspa's fan cover: https://makerworld.com/en/models/517976#profileId-434166
