Description

Wanted to share a hueforge I made using one of my favorite artist Hector Trunnec's watercolor painting of one of my favorite gundam, The RX-93 Nu Gundam. Please enjoy. Excited to see others color swaps.

Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.16mm

The Model is 200x261.56mm in size
You may print at higher layer heights below the Min Depth of 0.48mm
The Max Depth is 2.2mm and the Actual Depth is 2.2mm

Filaments Used:
PLA plus Overture Black Transmission Distance: 1
PLA Polyterra Army Blue Transmission Distance: 3
PLA Polyterra Army Red Transmission Distance: 4
PLA Elegoo White Transmission Distance: 5.5
This print uses 4 unique filaments

Swap Instructions:
Start with Black
At layer #9 (0.8mm) swap to Army Blue
At layer #12 (1.04mm) swap to Army Red
At layer #17 (1.44mm) swap to White for the rest.

I personally work with a Bambu Labs A1 mini so scaling it down to my bed plate makes the color changes happen on different layers.

Swap Instructions for A1 mini:
Start with Black
At layer #6 (0.56mm) swap to Army Blue
At layer #8 (0.72mm) swap to Army Red
At layer #12 (1.04mm) swap to White for the rest.

I’m not sure what happened, as I only tried to get cute with one color change from the file. I’ll reprint another day and will just paint this one by hand. Thanks.

Okay gotcha. I really dig the color combination. If you try and stick to the swap instruction, you should get the same results as my example picture. I have the hueforge screenshot too that shows what layers to swap the colors.

Upon reprinting, it's clear I made some mistakes the first time. This one turned out great! Thank you! 🙏
