Description

Printed Patio Table with Acrylic Top

_______________________________________________

About:

This patio table measures roughly 12" (300mm) square at the top. The top is meant to be 1/8" thick by 12" square acrylic (or really any other material of that thickness). The base is printed in 2" tall segments to whatever height you like. Print an entire table using only 1 kg of filament. The base is identical to the other patio table I posted so if you have already printed that you could swap out the top.

Steps To Print:

  1. The base has tight fit and loose fit versions
    1. only the pegs change diameter, the holes stay the same size
    2. the tight fit version will not come undone
    3. if you want to be able to take it apart choose the loose fit version
  2. Start with the base and print each layer, which will dovetail together
  3. Slide the dovetails together
  4. Rotate the next layer 90 degrees and align pegs with the holes and press firmly if it is the tight fit version
  5. Repeat until you have the height you desire
  6. Print 4 corners supports
  7. Print the center support
    1. center support can be merged with any stl file to create more decorative centerpiece
    2. start with center support and then import desired stl file
    3. scale the stl file to the size you want in the x and y axis
    4. scale the stl file to 2.5mm in the z axis only
    5. move the center support so it is centered in the imported stl file
    6. click one, hold ctrl and click the other so they are both highlighted
    7. right click and choose “assemble”
    8. this will make them into 1 stl file so you can slice it
    9. Mandalas like this one work well: Flower mandala ornament wall art by thundercat - MakerWorld
    10. for a beach type theme these are interesting: Sea Life Coasters Set - 10 Coasters by JF-699 - MakerWorld
  8. Insert the center support into the center holes of the base
  9. Insert 2 corners supports into adjacent corners of the base
  10. Slide the acrylic into those supports
  11. Slide the remaining 2 corner supports over the other 2 corners of the acrylic
    1. here is what I used from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081R3VCLL?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
  12. Insert those 2 corner supports into the corners of the base
  13. Enjoy
