Description

!!WARNING!! - Use at your own risk, tolerances are tight and this part could interfere with bed movement.

I have a Raspberry Pi with a USB-SDR dongle and RTL433 setup to read AcuRite wireless temp and humidity sensors in my house, reporting back to InfluxDB and presenting the data on Grafana.

I have several of these setup for monitoring temperature and humidity in the room my printers are in, for monitoring my filament dryer, and wanted something to monitor the build chamber on my P1S.

Depending on the orientation of the print bed the fit can be pretty tight, so for taller prints you want to be very careful if using this, or maybe just don't risk it.

I didn't want to use adhesive to stick anything to the printer, so I took advantage of the bottom of the printer being injection molded and printed out a plug that's a snug fit into the cavity under the door, this holds 2 8x3mm magnets in the body of the printer. The holder for the AcuRite sensor has 2 6x10mm magnets pressed in to hold it up against the front of the printer just shy of touching the door.

I printed these with the default Bambu PLA Basic settings at 0.2mm layer height. It would probably be better to print the AcuRite holder in ASA or PETG since it lives in the chamber.
