The Bevel Block provides instant angles for

1:6, 1:7, and 1:8 dovetails, as well as miter angles of 15°, 22.5°, 30°, 36°, and 45°.

With the geometry of the oblique block, you always have both the 90° complement and the 180° addition to each of these angles by simply changing the surface you hold the bevel square against. This gives you twenty-four different physical reference points.
