AMS feeding guide - Easy compliant mechanism

YouTube Short

I came up with an really interesting solution for the AMS feeder.

You simple slide it in and push it down for installation.

Wear and tear protection through perfect guide
Better grip button → no more sore fingers
Helps to solve feeding errors
Fits all AMS versions!
Simple print, no support no fancy parts
Very Easy to install and remove
It is very stable, no worry of breaking! (PLA, PLA+, PETG tested)
Long PTFE inlet guarantees that the hose does not come loose

2 Versions:

For Ø4 PTFE Tube ( Buildplate 1)
Ø2 for using without PTFE Tube ( Buildplate 2)

Personally i use PTFE tube with 4cm - 5cm length, but feel free to cut as long as you want, with less guide length it is easier to insert spools.

For assembly make sure the PTFE do not overcame the flat surface.

Printed without problems (petg) and fits very well. will see, how it performes with long printings.

Perfect print. Paired with 4cm of PTFE so the entry angle isn't too sharp when the spool is low.

Printed in silver PLA They fit like a glove, i used a design from someone else before, but thei were wobbly and not sitting very well. They came loose during first 20h print. This design starts already better, they sit tight. I am pretty sure, that those will stay were they are. So 5 stars for you and i will boost you as soon as i get new points. you deserve it. I ve changed only 1 setting, if setted the slicer to only print 1 wall for the first layer. But thats only for the look

my AMS came in May2024. i almost tried every design in makerworld, none of them fit my AMS, either the lid cannot close properly, or they are too loose that dont stay well or the filament cannot go smoothly through the tube. upon my hopeless moment, i found this. This version fits my AMS perfectly. they stay securely, my lid can close properly and my filament can go all the way down to the extruder smoothly. thanks for the design. this definitely worth a boost as appreciation…
