Description

How many times have YOU gone to wash a hoodie and end up struggling trying to get you drawstring back into your hood?

Tired of your hoodies having the same lame color drawstring that the came with?

Well Do I Have The Tool For You!!!

Introducing Hoodie Helper!

With this simple tool, all of any difficulty of “Drawstring Replacement” become a worry of the past!

Instructions:

  1. Ensure that the Drawstring you are attempting to apply to your selected Hoodie has a knot that will be properly secured in the open/back end (the wider end, as shown in the pictures above) of the Hoodie Helper. If it does not have a knot of enough size to be properly caught by the Hoodie Helper, please apply a larger knot, or wrap the aglet in the end to more properly secure the Drawstring.
  2. Secure one end of the Drawstring in the open/back end of the Hoodie Helper. Be sure that the entire end of the Drawstring is contained by the Hoodie Helper or the Drawstring could be lost in the process of installing.
  3. Text side first, feed the Hoodie Helper into the Drawstring Hole of the Hoodie selected.
  4. Once the Hoodie Helper is fully inserted into the Drawstring Hole (with the Drawstring attached) slide the slack of the hood onto the base of the Hoodie Helper to further push the open/text side to the other opening of the Drawstring Hole.
  5. Grab the open/text side of the Hoodie Helper and pull the slack of the Drawstring Hole to pull the Drawstring further into the Drawstring Hole.
  6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 until the open/text side exits the Drawstring Hole.
  7. Pull the Hoodie Helper until the end of the Drawstring exits the Drawstring Hole.
  8. Put on the hoodie and pull both ends of the Drawstring until they are equal in length.

You have completed a Drawstring Replacement with the Hoodie Helper!

Worked great putting the draw sting back into my kid’s hoodie. Only issue was with the hoodie having a smaller hole for the draw string. It did not work with shorts with stretchy material. It may also work on wider string with no knots in it. I can’t confirm that due to the material of the shorts. All in all it’s functional and will worked on the hoodie. My only recommendation is to make it a little thinner in height and width or to have multiple options to pick from. Will print again if needed.

This was way too thick to push through the holes of my hoodie. May work for larger ones.

try sizing down the X and Y axis by 75%. I tested the model on multiple hoodies and it seemed to work for every one of mine (without a grommet)
