20 torpedoes total:

  • 10 torpedoes worth 5 points each
  • 6 torpedoes worth 10 points each
  • 4 torpedoes worth 15 points each

Setup

  1. Players start outside the pool.
  2. All torpedoes are filled with water and thrown into the pool randomly.
  3. The game is played without goggles to increase the challenge.

Starting Position:

  • Players line up outside the pool at a designated starting line.
  • When game starts players may jump into the pool.

Retrieving Torpedoes:

  • Players dive and swim to collect torpedoes from the pool.
  • Only one torpedo can be brought to the surface at a time.
  • Players must return each retrieved torpedo to a designated collection point outside the pool before diving for another one.

Scoring:

  • Each torpedo has a point value based on its type:
    • 5-point torpedoes
    • 10-point torpedoes
    • 15-point torpedoes
  • Points are accumulated based on the torpedoes retrieved and placed in the player’s collection area.

Game Duration:

  • The game ends when all torpedoes are retrieved.

Rules of the game:

  • No pushing, shoving, or physical interference with other players.
  • Players must surface and place the torpedo in their collection area before diving for another.
  • Torpedoes must be thrown into the pool randomly at the start of the game, ensuring they are spread out.

Winning the Game:

  • The player with the highest total points at the end of the time limit wins.
  • In case of a tie, the player who retrieved the highest-value torpedo first wins.

Penalties

  • Any player caught pushing or interfering with another player will have 5 points deducted from their score.
  • If a player is found to have broken any other rules (e.g., holding more than one torpedo at a time), they must return the torpedo to the pool and start over.

Variations

Team Play:

  • Players can form teams of two.
  • Points are accumulated as a team, and the team with the most points wins.

Relay Race:

  • Players are divided into teams.
  • Each team member must retrieve one torpedo before the next team member can dive.
  • The first team to retrieve a set number of torpedoes wins.

Blind Dive:

  • Players must keep their eyes closed while diving, relying on touch to find and retrieve torpedoes.
  • An additional challenge for more experienced players.
