Description

This door replaces the original sealed Carbon Air Filter Door and adds holes to allow more air to exhaust out using ideally an inline duct fan which will suck a great amount of air out of the chamber and pull in cool air through the poop chute.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PRINT:

  • This part should be printed in a material such as PETG. PLA is to brittle and will break.
  • PETG must be dried out before use, even if it's brand new.
  • PETG is finicky, you'll want to make sure you have it dialed in before printing this part.
  • This part has small details, remove the supports carefully. A needle nose pliers will help. You might also need a razor blade to clean up an edge or two so they're smooth.
  • Carefully and slowly install the door. Slide your finger around the edge of it, it will click in and sit flush; but the “feel” and strength of it is not the same as the original injection molded part and you run the risk of breaking it.

When using an inline duct fan setup:

  • The carbon air filter is removed to allow for better air flow.
  • You need to prevent the chamber fan from spinning on it's own due to the air being sucked out, a zip tie works great for that.
  • Now that the chamber exhaust fan is zip tied, it's critical that you prevent it from starting via G-code. See the screenshot to disable it under: Filament Settings > Advanced > Filament start G-code & Filament end G-Code > M106 P3 S0
