What will you haul?

Original design for the 2024 Christmas Community Print Drive.

The “Flatbed Truck” prints on its side with no supports. The wheels are not able to turn to maintain durability for the print drive. The Flatbed Truck with rolling wheels will be soon available on Cults3D (link below, follow me there for updates). Print with one color, a fun filament, or with a couple swaps at key heights for a more detailed look. See notes in Print Settings below.

The smaller "Flatbed Truck 40" is large enough for print drive standards. Print more!

For the larger Flatbed Truck 60, use the included test model to check whether your printer can handle the long bridging for the windows and doors. If not, print the “Outline” version of the Flatbed Truck 60. This one has much easier bridging and should work fine with most printers.

Also see my related model “City Car.”

Additional Information and Print Settings

“Flatbed Truck 40” is approximately 105 x 55 x 40. “Flatbed Truck 60” is approximately 157 x 83 x 60 mm. I printed with 0.25 mm layer height, 3 perimeters, 3 top and bottom layers, and 15% rectilinear infill. For printing with the side stripes, set filament swaps after the heights as listed below.

Flatbed Truck 60: 8 mm and 52 mm.
Flatbed Truck 40: Approx. 5.33 mm and 34.67 mm, depending on slicer and layer height.

No supports. No raft.
