Description

I've seen a few 2"/2.5" mini hitches on makerworld and decided to create my own from scratch with the following features:

Round parts (bolt, pin and clip) are 100% round by standing upright.
No glue is required. Assemble and you're done.
It's a real M6.6x1.5 screw! Tolerance is very tight, you'll have to use a real wrench to tighten it.
Minimal use of supports, only the bolt needs supports. Clever use of mini supports on the base.
Optimized for minimal filament use. The pin and base are completely hollow and do not need supports. Only 53g in total!

The model is split on 4 plates to make it easy to print in 4 colors. I used Bambu PETG Basic Gold, Black, Gray and Red.

Designed to be printed in PETG. You can print in PLA but the colors will fade within a few months.

Would you be able to make this for a 2.5 inch hitch?

Sure! Added as https://makerworld.com/en/models/488618#profileId-409022. I kept the hole depth as 2.5" like I did for the 2" hitch. Please comment if the hole has to be farther.

I made it last night, however the ball and nut were not the same size or something. The nut seemed slightly too small. I tried to put it on anyways and ended up breaking the screw part off the bottom of the ball. This was my first PETG print so might have done something wrong. I will try it again tonight.
