Description

Made myself a honeycomb wall for my X1C printer to store my tools and other stuff and saw that some people like the idea, so ive uploaded the models for the wall and hooks.

First upload had some issues with the mesh count because of my haste uploading it i neglected to check it the count is right, but now its fixed! If the project isnt fitting like it should, count out the honeycomb count, by height it should be 18, if you have less, please download the stl. file that will get you to the right count of honeycombs! If you printed 4 honeycomb wall before the 15.06.24 update you have a file under the slt. download with the name ‘’Honeycomb wall fix 8 honeycomb'', if you printed 6 of them use the stl. file with the name ‘’Honeycomb wall fix 3 honeycomb''. if you are unsure of how many honeycombs your wall has, check the foto below to know how i count them. Again I am very sorry about the situation and any waisted filament because of it!

If you are printing this project after the 15.06.2024, (06.15.24 USA) you are ok, all should fit as it should

This is how the mesh should fit together, the numbers on the right side indicate the honeycomb count

Note: This does not include any models of things that are on my setup.

This is great! Started to print these but not sure how many of plate 1I'm supposed to print. I've done 2 prints so far which isn't enough, but a third print looks like it's too long?

Your comment made me realise that i forgot to add the bigger mesh to the file set, the new files have it but i will also make a fix for people that have already printed the other version so you dont have to waist material, again im very sorry about the issue, but also thanks for the comment!

Added the fix under the stl. files, depending on how many honeycomb meshes you printed, you can add the 3 or the 8 honeycomb count mesh to get the number right. Check the foto in the model description if you are unsure! Thank you again for the heads up!

what’s the trick to get them to stay in place? my middle pcs fall out and clips on the bottom don’t stay in place. thanks.

did you press the hooks all the way in, and do you have the grid oriented the correct way, the flat side that was on the build plate should face out, so that the little circles on the hooks latch in to the little grove. dont know that else could cause the issue, what printer are you on? ive only tested it on X1C, dont know how the fit is on other machines. Also make sure that the wide hooks go to the top side of the machine and the narrow ones bellow, also make sure that you are not hitting the ribs on the plastic, the bottom hooks should fit between them

I guess I am not understanding. Printer is x1c. Hooks sit in top, but bowe out in middle. Bottom hooks don’t hook into anything, just sit on surface. Middle pieces unable to stay in. I feel like I need connector pcs to hold all together? See pics please, thank you.

I have a question I feel silly asking - how do you connect the panels together on the side? I get there's the top and bottom brackets, but do I just superglue the 6 panels together first?

Ive just superglued, i wont ever need them to be apart so glue is perfect

I don't think this setup will work with an AMS riser.

cant confirm or deny it, if you have a riser you could probably test it by printing a hook to see if it fits, it all depends on what riser you have i guess

Do you know if this would also fit the P1S?

i do not know, nor do i have a way of testing it, it could fit since all dimentions are basicly the same, except the type of panel thats on the wall
