Thank you a lot for your support!

Changes

  • …redesigned the cash drawer for a better and more reliable fit
  • …slimmed down the back wall after realizing it was unnecessarily thick/rigid without compromising stability
  • …completely overhauled the Safety Mechanism after extensive work on it
  • …shortened the wallet slightly to prevent the cards from moving around

The slider is stuck? Try this:

Firstly, this is quite common with print-in-place mechanical parts, so don't worry.

Use your finger or a tool to gently separate the top of the slider-circle from the wallet body; this usually resolves the issue.

If necessary, apply some pressure to the internal piece at the bottom of the wallet.

Still unresolved?

Follow tthese steps:

The bottom of the wallet may be fused, which can be remedied by carefully inserting a knife between the external and internal part.

Cheers.

Tighter drawer (only drawer)
Fits MUCH better! I'm not sure why this isn't the standard.

The required drawer depends strongly on the filament
1

Ok, but what filament would you suggest for each size? There is a massive difference in the fit and they printed with the same filament (bambu PLA matte). I'm assuming for the original you using PLA basic and tested other filaments? Anyways, I appreciate the response. Better late than never :)

Looks super clean. Very sturdy and doesn't wobble at all once my 6 cards and some money were inserted. Makes a solid impression and my co-workers are jealous. I also put my son's name on the back and the slogan "Short on money - long on hope" on the cash drawer. Used eSun's PLA+ in black.

Hi, thanks for the feedback! I recommend not using silk materials, since they are also more fragile in many cases
2

Hi! Not the designer but that looks to be an issue with your print settings and filament, those silk filaments are picky about print speed and temp and too low a temp can cause the layers to sheer like in your picture.

Very cool model, a little too stiff on the mechanism, it ended up scratching the rail just by moving up and down (i think it's partially because I used matte black pla, but I might be mistaken), but still very nice. I'm only worried about long term durability, especially since there is no upper enclosure for the cards

For long term durability matte pla is not to be recommended. Please use basic PLA or PETG.
