Description

VI-Wallet 66.6 ~Smart - Optimizing Card Wallets

I have:

  • …redesigned the cash drawer for a better and more reliable fit
  • …slimmed down the back wall after realizing it was unnecessarily thick/rigid without compromising stability
  • …completely overhauled the Safety Mechanism after extensive work on it
  • …shortened the wallet slightly to prevent the cards from moving around

I personally recommend using Basic black PLA and printing at normal speed for its aesthetic appeal and fewer complications.

The slider is stuck? Try this:

Firstly, this is quite common with print-in-place mechanical parts, so don't worry.

Use your finger or a tool to gently separate the top of the slider-circle from the wallet body; this usually resolves the issue.

If necessary, apply some pressure to the internal piece at the bottom of the wallet.

Still unresolved?

Two possibilities remain:

The bottom of the wallet may be fused, which can be remedied by carefully inserting a knife between the external and internal part.

Printed on the A1 Mini after getting it other day with Overture Black PLA, unfortunately the bottom fused entirely and couldn't get it unstuck

I'm sorry about that, if you want to retry, print with 50% speed this time, this CAN sometimes help.

everything works well. only minor gripe is there a way to increase the friction on the slider so it stays up unless we pull it down or push the cards down?

Printed without issue and seems to work well. I had to free the button by sliding my thumbnail underneath but it works flawlessly now. Thanks for sharing!

Other Issues:The two parts fused together, however I was able to separate them using a knife. Bar that, it printed well.

Printed without problems, even the print-in-place mechanical part Added fuzzy skin, contour, 0.3 mm point distance and 0.05 mm skin thickness The cards can`t slide out unintended, but the cash drawer can easily slip out due to the weight of the coins I will try it out in everyday life and if necessary print the tighter drawer.
