Description

This is a derivative design based on my parameterized book-shaped storage box model, intended to hold my dice for D&D games.
It may not be suitable for your dice. Feel free to visit my parameterized storage box models and create one that fits your dice.

while this is an awesome idea, sadly it doesn't fit dice correctly. Do you know what scale it needs to be in order for dice to fit?

So sorry to learn that this box doesn't fit your dice, different dice produced by different manufacturers have different sizes. To be honest, it was designed specifically for my own dice. I apologize for the time and resources you've invested in this project. In some sense, you can use BambuStudio's measurement feature to detect the scaling degree of the model and make it fit your dice. However, please note that a simple scale-up may not work for all your dice, as twenty-sided dice are relatively complex entities. You might consider using this modle: PolyDice via vib 3d crafts(please search on makerworld) modify its parameters to generate a model consistent with your dice, and then use BambuStudio's Boolean function to create a suitable recessed area for yourself.

No worries at all, I still really like the design and model. Also, good news. I was able to scale the model and get it to fit some specific dice sets. 110% - will fit metal dice (smaller to average size) 120% - Will fit ChesseEx dice sets, even the oddly larger ones that are more rounded. 130% - Will fit sharp resin dice (With a little wiggle room. hopefully this helps! Keep up the good work!

Hello, what Size of magnets you recommend?

In fact the box itself doesn't need a magnet to snap into place, look at the picture and you can see a crude "snap + notch" construction. I think the clips will wear out with more use while the magnets won't, your suggestion is very valid, I just personally would prefer to have the artifacts ready to use once printed. If you do need to add magnets. Consider downloading the parametric model I provided in another file, but that model is just the box and does not include the base to hold the dice. So it can be added using the Bamboo Studio feature. Maybe 3*6 magnets would be good enough, maybe smaller would be fine, but the lid of this box is only 2mm thick, and I'm afraid it wouldn't be very suitable for 3*6 magnets even with scaling up, so it might not be the magnets that are going to be embedded in the lid, and a thin piece of iron might be a better choice.
