Description

  • simple to print and assemble
  • light tripod ( aprox. 150gr )
  • easy to carry and store.
  • it floats, you cannot loose this one. 😁🍻
  • Based on a request, I've added another part which can be used to extend the height of the tripod. Not tested by me, but based on the user feedback it works fine.

so glad you find this usefull… i also use it when I’m fishing from a wooden platform. i have added a file with an extender, which makes the tripod taller. It was requested and tested by a user.

Yeah I'm printing it right now actually, I was hoping something like that would show up soon! I tried it last night with PETG but the extender fell over and produced a bowl of spaghetti. I'm trying with a large brim now and its working, but there are issues due to the angle (bit too steep for PETG maybe, or bad settings on my part). (it worked fine with PLA last time, but I'd like it in PETG or perhaps ASA for long term usage)

yes ... maybe try a smaller layer height instead of 0.20mm if you have problems with steep angles. Unfortunately I'm not fishing as often as I wish. For the moment PLA works for me. I would do it in ASA (as it's UV resistant) for heavy use...

Won’t you lose a pole that way or no?

good question! If you leave the pole unattended, for sure a big fish could run with your pole. But this is true also with other commercial fishing tripods in general. For sure this one is easier to trip over, as it's very light. You could tie a bottle of water or something from the middle if you want. From my experience, as I used it with a feeder rod, worked fine and solved my issue with an easy and light tripod when fishing from a wooden platform.
