Description

Super Secure Filament Clip for Bambu Lab Spools

 

Features:

  • Protrusion Clips onto spool rail in order to secure clip.
  • Clip designed to hold filament with perfect force in order to prevent damage.
  • Prints well without supports.
  • Quick print time (5 min) → 10min total including setup.

Install:

 

Install clip at an angle (pointed towards spool) in order to properly clip on protrusion.
 

NOTE: The depending on your spool, printer, filament and environment, the clips may be too stiff or too loose. 

  • For stiff prints, lower the number of walls and infill
  • For loose prints, increase the number of walls and infill
  • If the filament is too difficult to insert, scale the part down in the z-axis.

idea is good, but it’s too tight. since you’ll be readjusting the location each time you unload the filament cause the end will be in a different place. also the filament ‘gripper’ is to tight. got it to work better by filing the gripping end en cutting the part in half, that makes it work easier.

Hi, thank you for your perceptive feedback. That is interesting, as the tolerances and stiffness work perfectly on my spools (which are also Bambu). The clips can easily slide around, but also don't shift when bumped. The filament also clips on with moderate force without damaging it, but also doesn't fall out (hence the name "Super Secure". Did you print using my print profile, or did you change any other settings? Might I suggest printing with one less wall, lower infill, or scaling the part down in the z-axis, instead of physically sawing it in half. I can add an adjusted print profile if that works out. Also, what printer did you use? Thanks

Nice print. Yes, it is meant to clip onto the roll, which is why it is a bit hard to connect. You need to angle it towards the roll so that the protrusion can slip on more easily.

printed them in ASA because i intend tu use them also in the filament dryer. I used my own ASA profile with 110* degree bed temperature. came out perfect! huge thanks!
