Many designers use CAD programs suitable for mechanical design that have problems opening and modifying the STL files necessary to print with our beloved printers (although almost all these programs can easily generate STL files).
I have laboriously converted the popular 'Flexi Rex with stronger links' into STEP files, so now many designers can remix this fantastic model with their own ideas and variations.
In the files you will only find the STEP file, if you want to download the STL file you can find it in the original project. 

I will try to continually improve and update the STEP files.
