Description

This model will allow you to slip a QR code clip onto your 3rd-party build plate identifying it as either Textured PEI, High Temp/Smooth, or Engineering Plate. I have test these to work and be properly read. You should have the same result as long as you use a 0.2 nozzle and the settings in the profile.

This will avoid the error of mismatched plate and keep you from having to keep applying printed stickers after plate cleaning.

Just measure over 95mm from the left edge and mark that spot with a contrasting color Sharpie marker so you can easily place the clip.

The profile is set for a 0.2mm hotend tip…it's needed for as the detail of the QR code is so fine. The line width for the first layer is also set narrow, I recommend you use the print profile as defined.

All 3 codes are setup on clips in the profile, just tip the view of the plate up in the slicer to see which is which and clone multiples of the ones you need.

Assembly: the top piece and bottom piece hold together by friction but I reccommend you super glue them together. Just use a small drop where the two pieces interface to avoid squeeze out.
