Description

Enter the measure of the object you want to keep safe and print it! I used this design over a year with my personal belongings that I don't want to be scratched, damaged while carrying such as aluminum frame electronics, playing cards, miniatures and so on. 

I highly suggest play around the parameters and find your perfect spot. You can have funny but functional outcomes with just a little excessive play around the parameters

Sure there are improvement can be made even with the short comings of the platform but I'm willing to try and improve so I would love to hear your ideas and suggestions!

There are limitations to the dimensions in terms of extreme but as long as you follow the simple notes under the parameters you should be absolutely fine!

@lysyndre I was bugged by the flat side where the hinge is so I fiddled with your original code and made something that is more pleasing of a design. I'm not sure how to get you the code etc. but I think others would like it too and I don't think it varies enough for a "Remix" of your original design.

The hinges also could be improved so they don't stem from the top and bottom edges if the height is sufficient.

nice design! printed out a little box for my soldering iron tips. I had to help the hinges a bit with an exactonknife to free them, after that they work perfectly!

Even with my ancient printer and uncalibrated bed, managed the print just fine! No cap (pun intended lol) now i can keep my cuties safe :p

Sorry to hear that, I can see that with few tweaks it should be solved: 1. Hinge diameter is seems small for the size of the box if you keep hinge diameter +5 mm it would probably fix the issue by it self 2. Increasing wall loops should keep the bond between individual hinges stronger (3 at least) 3. I highly suggest making infill lines parallel to hinges (Aligned Rectilinear) with high density amount 4. Also 0.2 or higher layer height would make it stronger 5. If still struggling I highly suggest checking if the filament absorbed moisture most of my troubles caused by this issue even when its enclosed 6. If you printed the model with more than one filament miss painting also greatly reduces strength If you still encounter issues I am more than happy to help since I printed multiple variations I'm sure it can be fixed!
