Description

A binary star is a system of two stars (suns) orbiting each other; thus I had the idea to make a planetary gear with two sun gears.

I'm still playing around with gear interesting designs, and this is one of the better ones in my opinion. It looks quite nice, even like a piece of art, it is interesting to watch in motion, and it is fun to fidget with. The holes are supposed to fit usual hexagonal pencils.

a little tight but believe this is due to the PEI plate used.

Took a little force to get the gears free to rotate initially but really cool to watch. printed with Eryone Silk PLA in bicolor (teal and orange-red)

Little work to break it free, and then it's an object lesson in gearing -- it turns perfectly from the middle, bit sticky if you try to turn it from an edge gear.
