The Design

The Vortex Thread is a fun and interesting object. There's been a few designs like this around recently so i thought i'd add another

The “male” part of the thread seems to defy physics by passing through the slightly larger “female” Part

There are some fragile parts to this design, so should be treated carefully

There may initially be some friction, so carefully pass the pieces through each other to loosen the fit.

This is a fun little desk piece.

Let if you experience any issues.

Printing

Standard settings should work fine to slice.

Once printed let the build plate cool before trying to remove.

My Work

After many years in Engineering, I've just decided to try and follow my childhood dream of becoming of a Creative Designer.

A Creative Designer of what? No idea! Right now I really like puzzles, mechanisms and kinetic sculptures so that's where I'm going to focus my efforts.
