Description

Are you looking for a unique and thoughtful gift? Or perhaps you want to add a personal touch to your everyday essentials?
Look no further! The Bambulicious name tag is the perfect solution.

You can change the name, font, colors and some visuals.
Buy some keychain rings (i've got mine from AliExpress) and you're good to go.

How did I make the one in the picture?

  • Download OpenSCAD
  • Download the font Lobster Two and install it for all users (on windows)
  • Open OpenSCAD (restart after install a new font, so it's loaded)
  • Copy/paste the code from the customizer
  • Change the name, the font, other parameters. (Color is not relevant in OpenSCAD)
  • Render the model > export the model as .3mf or .stl
  • Open the model in BambuStudio (or Orcaslicer)
  • Select the model, right click > Split > To parts
  • Select the name parts and give it the color filament you want.
  • Select the outline part and give it the color filament you want.
  • Change the quality settings to what you like. (mines are: 0,2 mm / 2 walls / ironing all top surfaces / 10% infill gyriod)
  • Connect the keychain rings and you're ready!

Share this model and spread the fun!

How do you change the font? Also the key ring hole seems different than the picture.

The customizer on makerworld doesn't support other fonts. For the same result, you can download OpenSCAD and copy the code from the customizer. Then you'll download the font you like, install it for all users (in windows), restart OpenSCAD, then you'll be able to change the font. The keyring can be changed in thickness and position, relative to the name. When you want multicolor, open the .stl/.3mf in bambustudio (or orcaslicer), select model and "split" "to parts". Then you can select the color you want for each part.

Nice and easy to customise. If you want to open in opencad you can click save in the customiser and then open the .scad file in opencad rather than copy and paste the code. Also i found Lobster Two was missing from the font code selection so when you changed it you couldnt select it back. Adding it in lets you select it instead of opening it as default

These came out perfect, all though I didn't use them as keychains, but as individual letters for a Money Lei for some kids promotions. Instructions were perfect!

In the description there is a step-by-step explanation of how i did it. You have to look at the "split" "to parts" line, then you can make it multicolor.

That's not a silly question. Press the green "customize" button above this page. Then you'll press "customize" again. And in the next screen you press on "Code" (in the left corner) and copy all the text in the "code" section.
