Description

Don't like feeding filament up a bowden tube? If so this is for you!

  • This filament loading system - is for use with any printer, and has even a version specifically for the Sunlu S4 filament dryer.
This flexible system can be configured to in lots of different orientations and configurations to work with the printer of your choice and placement of your choice.
  •  You can use it with its built-in spool holder or without when used with a filament roller or filament dryer.
  • There are different heights available depending on how you want to use it.

Print information:

There are 3 main configurations:

A) Standalone with built-in spool holder - print plates 1,2,3 and 5.

You can choose the angle to mount the feeder and feeder arm depending on how you want to feed into your printer.

B) For use with a filament roller. Print plates 1, 5, 6.

C) For use with Sunlu S4 Filamant dryer. Print plates 1,4,7.

Build information:

  •  3x 608 bearings
    • one for each gear and one for the handle.
  • It also supports using a PC4-M10 connector to hold the bowden tube in place -
    • but you can use a friction fit alternative in the file instead.
    • It's easier to fit these to the part first before adding the gears on.
  • Putting together the feeder:
    • On the feeder plate 1, there are two sets of pins - one slightly narrower and one slightly wider so you can choose the best fit for your bearings.
    • Check which pins have a good fit for your bearings - you do not want them to be loose in the bearings as the gears will slop about - then push them into place on the feeder body
      • Long pin on the right, short pin on the left.
      • The small gear goes on the short pin, big gear on the long peg
