This is a Handy 3D Printed Vice created using Fusion 360 and printed with the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon.
It took a few iterations with mainly the screw drive to get this correct, but all in all a great little project.
It would have been ideal to run through the main frame thread with a tap as it was a bit tight but I didn't have one so I applied some of the grease that came with the X1 and this worked well after a few turns of the screw in and out.
I made a slotted adapter which fastens onto the end of the thread with a 5mm Allen head set screw, this in turn slots into the slider carriage and is secured in place with a 5mm Allen head set screw allowing the carriage to be retracted easily, trying to get the thread started on the collet with a 5mm Allen bolt it snapped off, I just screwed the bolt into the remaining part and it works perfectly.
Great little vice which can be used for numerous applications like holding components for soldering etc.
The initial mainframe didn't have any fixing holes so i added 4 with a countersunk.
Thanks for looking.
