Description

Battle Frog Leapster 3-in-1

Originally, my Battle Frog Leapster was intended just as a toy for the kids. There are three different ways to play with it

1. Long Jump: Whoever makes the frog jump the farthest wins.
2.Feet Landing: Whoever manages to land the frog on its feet wins.
3.Battle: Simultaneously release the frogs to jump at each other, so they tackle in mid-air. Whoever lands on their feet afterwards wins. This variant is a bit tricky.

My kids also enjoy taking this frog into the bathtub, and I've noticed that it swims quite well. That reminded me of this contest.

The frog is a true 3-in-1 package:

I have printed the frog many times and must say that the Sunlu PLA performs the best, closely followed by the Bambu PETG. I know PETG is more robust, but because of its higher rigidity, the frog jumps best with Sunlu PLA so far.

I also have to mention that the support varies in quality depending on the material. Overall, it comes off quite well. In this regard, the Bambu PETG was effortlessly removed, while the Bambu and Sunlu PLA required a bit more effort.

PETG: Bambu code : 30600

Caution: Please do not play with it when a fishing hook is attached!!!

As I see in the comments, some are not happy that I want to bring a bit of fun into fishing, especially for kids. As mentioned earlier, this lure is primarily for children to enjoy. In response to a report, I hereby present evidence that the model has been officially confirmed by MW!

This lure is not functional.

@dfreshkremer I've already mentioned that I already had the design and my kids had already played with it. Then the idea came to me to expand it. However, the model without holes was never available for download. I deliberately chose the photos to show that there was already a model. I just wanted to be transparent and show that you can redesign a lot.

@dfreshkremer It's not good to be envious, as it brings bad karma. You can keep your wishes.

How is this in the fishing contest? No fisherman would ever use this. This is a toy for kids.

@inksterexpress There was already a repost about it, and my model was initially removed from the contest. After a brief back-and-forth, however, my model was officially admitted. You're right, it's certainly not the best lure, but it fulfills all the necessary properties of a lure, as I described in the description. The aim is specifically to combine multiple functions into one model, as I also outlined in the description.

If this is a lure design then there is no location to tie the main line too. Also the way you tied the hook to the lure shows you have little experience fishing

@inksterexpress 'Of course, there are holes for securing the fishing line, and just because someone has less knowledge doesn't exclude them!

@3DHobbyFun Did you read my description carefully? My model has three functions, with the main one being to have fun with it. Additionally, it can be counted as fishing accessories, as it can be used with a small hook as bait or a bobber. I just want to bring some fun to the fishing spots with this model! 😄

My toddler had a small plastic jumping frog but two of the legs for it broke. Found this model and printed eight (two of each of four colors: Printbed Pumpkin Smash, Yellow, Sour Apple V2, and Green). So far they are a hit and more durable than the small one he had!

@Intrepid3D I'm very pleased, but my son managed to break it already, not through regular use but by jumping on it 😭 Everything has its limit. Thank you for the great feedback and review. If you're interested, I have more small toys, especially the new versions of spring toys that are easier for children to operate. You can find everything on my website
